| GDC (Boys) Udh organises multilingual mushaira | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Feb 9: Internal Quality Assurance Cell of Govt. Degree College (Boys), Udhampur , Department of Information and Nehru Yuva Kendra Udhampur organized a "Multi-lingual Mushaira" in the College premises in which around 21 noted and budding student-poets from the fields of Hindi, Urdu and Dogri Language participated.
Pandurang K. Pole, Deputy Commissioner Udhampur was the Chief Guest whereas Balraj Bakshi a noted poet presided over this poet's meet. In his address, the chief guest expressed satisfaction that the programme could serve as a platform for interaction between the prominent poets of the town and the students . "The strength of a poet is extraordinary and poetry is the finest expression of mankind, he said. Appreciating poetry adds meaning and charm to one's life," he added.
Earlier the program began with the lighting of the traditional lamp. Principal Dr. Nutan Kumar Resutra gave the formal welcome address and said that the college, understanding its responsibility, shall organize many such activities in future alsso. |
