Army sponsored students' tour flagged off | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Feb 9: Army under the aegis of Counter Insurgency Force kicked off ten day tour comprising 23 students and 2 teachers to Delhi, Agra, Jaipur and Ajmer. The tour is aimed to give exposure to young children about varied developments that are taking place in rest of the country and to introduce them to plethora of cultures, people and landscape of our nation. As per reports, 38 Rastriya Rifles organised this tour for the young kids of Rajouri. Commander 13 Sector Headquarter flagged off the tour from Manjakote in the presence of prominent persons, parents and guardians of children. While speaking to the media the Commander said that this tour shall be an eye opener for children and it will immensely benefit them in understanding the varied culture and heritage of our nation. He also interacted with children and asked them to extract the best out of this opportunity. He told them to aim high and contribute positively towards the society and state by becoming responsible citizens. The children were enthusiastic and excited about the tour as most of them would be crossing the boundaries of Jammu and Kashmir for the first time and would be boarding train for the first time. Jabar Khan aged 17 years while speaking to the media said that he was quite excited about this as it would it be for the first time that he would be going to travel by train. Another youth Abdul Basat aged 18 years told the media that it seemed as if all his dreams had come true. |
