| 'Environment awareness' prog organized | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, Feb 9: Eco-club of Govt Girls High School (GGHS) Gandhi Nagar Organized environment awareness programee under the theme "Forest for Sustainable livelihood" by NEAC-2011-12.
During the activities of awareness programme volunteers and participants participated in plantation drive by planting trees in school premises. Besides this an awareness rally of students marched through the nearby areas. The rally started from school premises and culminated in the school after passing through main Bazar of Gandhi Nagar. Thereafter a drawing competition on the environment theme was also held. The certificates of participation were awarded to the winner students.
The rally was organized under the supervision of by Bharat Parsad and Majeed Jabeen Headmaster of the school who while addressing the stressed upon the importance of tress in the human life. |
