Rahul makes hat trick in Churchill's 3-2 win | 3rd Sher-e-Kashmir Gold Cup Football | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Feb 10: Hat trick from Rahul Sabharwal today guided Churchill Brothers to a close 3-2 win over fighting Mussa Club to reach the second round of the ongoing 3rd Sher-e-Kashmir Gold Cup Football Tournament at GGM Science College ground, here. Making a beginning by striking in the 8th and 38th minute, Rahul first helped the side take a good lead and then netted the ball for third goal in 50th to seal the victory. From Mussa Club, Sartaj Singh an Vicky struck in the 40th and 60th minute respectively. In fact, Mussa Club could not come prepared for the match. The side entered the field with nine players only and it was after a gap of ten minutes that two more joined to make it a complete team. Meanwhile, in another first round match of the day, Bhagat Singh Club Chatha blanked Jammu United by two goals to nil. Amardeep Singh and Harpreet Singh were the scorers, who defeated the goal-keeper in 30th and 60th minute. Today's matches were officiated by penal of officials including Suresh Gupta (center), Deepak Kumar, Ricky Kumar, Rajiv Dev (center) and Mohd Shafi. NEXT MATCH: Engineers Club shall be playing against J&K Police-B at 1 pm while New Bharat shall take on J&K Power Development Corporation (PDC) at 3 pm in the second round of the tournament tomorrow. |
