Udhampur Police organizes Talent Hunt Competition | | | Early Times Report
UDHAMPUR, Feb 11: Udhampur Police organized Talent Hunt Competition "Choona Hai Aasman Season 2" under civic action programme of J&K Police at DPL Udhampur in which participants drawn from different areas, schools of District Udhampur participated in Junior and Senior Categories. Deputy Inspector General of Police Udhampur -Reasi Range Jagjit Kumar, was chief guest on the occasion. While speaking on the occasion, SSP Udhampur Shakeel Ahmed Beig said that this programme has been organized by J&K Police to explore best talent among the youth of district Udhampur. Such programmes are bound to improve children's self confidence and esteem and encourage them to pursue and improve hidden talent. This would also help channelizing their energies in constructive and prospective purposes rather than their inclination towards anti-social activities. Out of 20 participants, who were selected after rounds of screening trails at DPL, 10 were selected by the juries, 5 each in Senior and Junior Category. The participants selected in senior categories including Sonali Rajput, Anish, Sahil Sharma, Kiran Bharti and Manvi Sharma. While in Junior category were Shivi Badyal Raghav Karnathia, Ritika Bhardwaj, Ravi Badya and Abhinav Goswami. These participants will further participate in range level competition in which selected participants of District Reasi will also take part. Large no. of prominent citizens from district Udhampur, parents of the participants, Rajinder Kumar Gupta, Addl. SP Udhampur, District Information Officer, Jagdish Mehra, Dy.SP DAR Suram Singh, Dy.SP SDPO Ramnagar Varinder Kumar Bhat, Dy.SP Civil Defense Bodh Raj, etc. were present on the occasion. Lunch was served to all the participants and others witnessing the function.
