Padder BJP activists shows solidarity with Prof Chaman | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Feb 11: Janki Nath Thakur Tehsil President BJP Unit of Padder in Kishtwar District resigned with other unit meeting of Tehsil BJP from the primary membership of the party alleging the present leadership as defunct and coterie of the corrupt. In a press conference addressed here today, the leaders who resigned from BJP leveled several allegations against party leaders including Ashok Khajuria, Nirmal Singh and Shamsher Singh and alleged they have comprised the integrity of Jammu during the Baba agitation. Interacting with media persons, Thakur raised the demands like Schedule Tribe Status for Padder People, Macro & Micro Hydro electric Power Projects for the Tehsil, Healthcare facilities for the Tehsil, Sancation of Degree College for Tehsil Padder and upgradation of Educational Institutions. Besides these he also demanded for Special Recruitment Drive in Police Department, Separate Assembly Constituency, better road links and implementation of Social Welfare Schemes for the people. Earlier the speakers charged BJP leadership of being biased and apathetic towards the workers and termed decision of expelling Senior Party Leader Prof Chaman Lal Gupta. |
