| Disqualified' BJP MLAs keep all 'options' open | | | Early Times Report
Srinagar, Feb 11: Senior BJP leader and MLA West Jammu, Chaman Lal Gupta, Saturday said that he and six other MLAs who had been 'disqualified' by the party last year have kept their options open.Sources said as per the senior leader Prof Gupta they (seven MLAs) have kept all options open.When asked whether there was any possibility of him and other 'disqualified' MLAs joining any party, Prof Gupta acrimo niously said that after serving the BJP for more than six decades he was humiliated during his visit to national capital "I've no contact with the BJP high command neither I want to, he added He however added that in the ensuing Budget session they would corner the government over its 'failures.' He underlined we ought to point out failure of the government for which people have given us mandate. Seven BJP MLAs, including Gupta, were expelled from the party after an in-house inquiry found them guilty of voting against the party candidate in the Legislative Council elections in March 2011. |
