| CTUs to support nationwide stir on Feb 28 | | | Early Times Report
Kathua, Feb 11: Central Trade Unions held a joint meeting in which various issues were discussed while the participants criticized the Govt saying that it has remained totally unresponsive to major concerns of the working people. They also decided to support the nationwide general strike on called on Feb 28. The members in the meeting also raised the issue of pension for all, compulsory registration of trade unions within a period of 45 days and immediate ratification of the ILO Conventions Nos 87 and 98, Implementation of Lakra Committee recommendation regarding private transport workers, implementation of 6th pay commission report in the remaining state public sector organizations, Regularization of daily wagers and Grant of Field concession/counter insurgency allowance to the defence civilian employees in Jammu and Kashmir. |
