CM shielding 'corrupt' ministers: NPSU | 'Guv should dissolve assembly' | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Feb 11: National Panthers Students Union (NPSU) today held a massive protest demonstration at Canal Road Jammu against senior Congress leader and PHE Minister Taj Mohiuddin, who is facing a Vigilance inquiry over corruption charges. Activists of NPSU also burnt the effigy of Taj Mohiuddin. Activists of NPSU gathered at Shaheedi Sthal, GGM Science College, Canal Road, Jammu and shouted slogans against the PHE Minister and later they also burnt his effigy. Talking to media persons, Partap Singh Jamwal lambasted the state government for sheltering the black sheep in its council of Ministers. He said that on one hand the said minister has raised the rates of water supply which is only for robbing the innocent poor people of the state and on the other hand he has allegedly committed the fraud worth crores of rupees in his department to fulfill his lust of wealth. He demanded that the inquiry in the said case should be handed over to the CBI as free and fare inquiry at state level is not possible until and unless the said minister is holding the portfolio in the council of ministers. Jamwal further said that the present NC-Congress led coalition state government has number of corrupt ministers in the council of ministers but Chief Minister of the state is behaving like a 'dumb and deaf' and is not daring to take any harsh steps against them. He said that CM of the state himself has not got clean chit yet in the case of the murder of Mohd. Yousuf Shah (NC activist), which is very unfortunate for the people of the state.Jamwal appealed the Governor to interfere and dissolve the assembly and to announce the assembly elections after implementing the Governor's rule in the state.
