| Burglar arrested, goods worth 4.5 Lakh recovered | | | Srinagar, Jan 17 In its tirade against the crime, Rajbagh police has solved a high profile burglary case by arresting a burglar after followings his footprints, recovered gold ornaments and goods worth 4.5 Lakhs from his possessions. Official sources told News Agency of Kashmir that police on receipt of information that Burglars had struck the house of Dr. Hilal Ahmed Rizvi son of Gh. Mohammed at Umar Apartments, H.No-52, Rose lane Rajbagh and decamped with goods worth Lakhs. On this FIR No: 02/2007, Under Section 454, 380/RPC was registered in the P/S and investigations taken up. Police constituted a special team led by SHO Rajbagh Inspector Mukesh Kumar; Investigating Officer Sub-Inspector Tariq Ahmed launched a man-hunt to nab the culprits behind crime and in this connection took assistance of Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) mobile team. “As the case was entirely clueless, FSL team managed to pick up some footprints from the scene of crime” a police officer told NAK adding that on basis of these footprints, Rajbagh police rounded up a suspect who during questioning admitted burglary and has been identified as Shabir Ahmed War s/o Khazir Mohammed War R/o Humadub Panzalla, on whose instance gold ornaments and goods worth 4.5 Lakhs were recovered which include, 11 Golden chains, 1 set of Diamond Tops, 8 sets of Diamond pendants, Wrist Watch worth Rs 60,000, 14 Golden bangles, 8 Rings and many other valuable items. |
