| JWAM to intensify stir against water tariff hike | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Feb 11: Jammu West Assembly Movement (JWAM) has announced to take out a "mass protest march" on February 13 to intensify the on going "Jan Andolan" by the movement against the hike in water tariff, decision to install meters on the water connections and unscheduled power cuts.
The decision to step up the stir was taken in a meeting of JWAM held here today wherein prominent citizens, heads of the various trade unions, traders, hoteliers, mohalla committees, social organizations and the activists of the various political parties cutting across the party affiliations. Sunil Dimple demanded that the water should be provided "totally free of cost" to the people of the State.Sunil Dimple warned the Govt and the PHE ministry to clear its stand immediately other wise we will call for "Jammu Bandh" against this anti- people and unilateral decision of the Government. |
