NC concerned over increase in road accidents

DODA, Feb 11: Expressing serious concern over the increase in number of road accidents in erstwhile Doda district, President Women Wing, National Conference Kisht war while extending her deep sympathies with the families of those killed in tragic road accident, said that the road accidents are on increase and no concern is being shown by the concerned agencies.
She said that vital road links in the district need to be reconstructed on war footing so as to make roads transportable where at least double lane traffic can move to and fro. She said we are working on widening of National Highways and accessible link from Kashmir to Kanyakumari and also from Kuch to Assam but the people living in Doda district are to travel while praying God for their safe journeys. She also demanded Rs 5 lakh as compensation to families of those killed in accident.
