| Animal Husbandry holds fertility camp at Grainth( Bhalwal) | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU , Feb 11 : An impressive fertility camp was organized by animal husbandry department block Bhalwal at Grainth on under Rashtriya Krishi Vikas Yogna (RKVY). About 160 farmers from Grianth and surrounding villages attended-the camp. More than 150 animals were treated in the camp mostly suffering with gynecological problems by expert team of doctors and free medicines were given to the patients.
The camp was organized and conducted by Dr Pran Kaul Block Veterinary Officer Bhalwal Dr Pran Kaul, block veterinary officer Bhalwal welcomed all the participants . He while interacting with the farmers deliberated upon various schemes taken by the department for increasing the self-employment opportunities especially in dairy and poultry sector.
He highlighted about Dairy entrepreneurs Development Scheme and Poultry Venture Capital Fund Scheme besides Livestock Insurance Scheme. He further elaborated on the benefits of artificial insemination practices especially in buffaloes. He further wished and stressed upon farmers for their maximum participation in such camps in future also. He while interacting with farmers elaborated upon establishment of micro-poultry units under Tribal Sub Plan (TSP)
The camp was attended and addressed by Dr D S Bindra , mobile officer as an expert in Gynecology.
The camp was also attended by Dr Rajnesh Gupta , Dr Fiyaz Ahamad , Dr Jyoti Gupta , Dr Sharika Sharma veterinary assistant surgeons besides prominent citizens of the area especially panches and sarpanches. |
