Gandoh accident a bitter reminder to Chief Minister | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Feb 11: President Tehsil Thathri Development, Kuldeep Kumar Rao, general secretary, Om Raj Bhall & vice president advocate Kanwarjeet Singh Thakur have expressed profound grief and shock over the loss of 19 precious lives in Manni Gandoh accident and expressed their condolences with the bereaved family and prayed for eternal peace to the departed soul They said that the Chief Minister who was agitated and aggrieved over a series of accidents last year in District Doda, had announced that all the vehicle which are too old to guarantee a safe service would be banned from plying over the road and new government buses would be pressed on to service. But it is highly regrettable that the CM's grief as well as anger was very short lived and consequently, he did not do any thing in this regard till date. Will the Bhallasa Gandoh accident rekindle CM's old grief and anger and strengthen his resolve to do the needful at the earliest ? Closely related to this problem is the problem being faced by the Primary Health Centre at Thathri. The PHC Thathri is a centrally located Hospital which can provide prompt service in this regard but unfortunately there is neither a properly equipped operation Theatre nor any anesthetist in the hospital. Though a qualified surgeon has been provided since July,2011, he feels quite handicapped in absence of a Theatre and an anesthetist. They appeal ed to Chief Minister to immediately redress the grievances of the public. |
