Aromatic Flora can generate employment in state: Randhir Singh | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Feb 11: Former minister Thakur Randhir Singh and National President Aromatic and Medicinal Plants Growers Association of India (AMPGAI) said today that the resources available in the form of Aromatic and Medicinal plants if properly exploited in the state of J&K can generate ample job opportunities. Speaking after announcing the appointment of Satpal Sharma as President J&K Aromatic and Medicinal Plants Growers Association, who is already working as Technical advisor to the Association, Randhir Singh said that aromatic and medicinal plants could be a boon for young uneducated unemployed as well as technically qualified youth as in the international market the aromatherapy is the latest technique being followed by the global community to get rid of human ailments and under such circumstances state of J&K being enriched with herbal wealth can exploit this wealth and help grow the state exchequer . Singh said aroma plants like Clarysage, Tulsi, Rose, Geranium and other hundreds aroma species which is prevalent in J&K for which baseline survey has already been conducted by the AMPGAI and AMPGAI is also willing to provide the technical help to the state of J&K if invited to do so for the welfare of the state. |
