| Janta Dal general secy along with supporters join PDP | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Feb 11: General Secretary of the state unit of Janata Dal Parshotam Kumar Gupta along with large number of his supporters joined Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). Gupta joined PDP in a function which was held at Gol Gujaral area in the presence of senior leaders of party including party patron and former Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed.
While speaking on the occasion, Gupta expressed faith in the programmes and policies of PDP and said that Mufti Mohammad Sayeed as Chief Minister of the State had set an example of good governance in Jammu and Kashmir. He promised to work over time to strength PDP in different parts of Jammu region.
Senior party leaders included Trilok Singh Bajwa, Thakur Balbir Singh, Ved Mahajan, R K Bali, Rajinder Manhas, Ch Hussain Ali Wafa, Jagjeet Singh Jagga, Avtar Singh Khalsa, Suresh Sharma, Ramesh Koul, Puneet Jamwal, Surinder Sharma, Dhani Ram, Dev Dutt, Balbeer Singh and others also spoke on the occasion.
Meanwhile former Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed attended cremation of Baba Gurbux at Shastri Nagar cremation ground. He prayed for the peace of departed soul. |
