SSH express concern over continuous road accidents | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Feb. 11 : To lodge their protest against state government, for its failure to control the continuous road accidents on the Doda-Kistwar Highway, a protest demonstration was organized by the members of Shiv Sena Hindustan(SSH). The protest was held under the leadership of state president, SSH, Rajesh Kesri. Speaking on the occasion, Kesri said, despite after the demand of SSH to appoint more traffic persons on this specific road stretch, the government had failed to take any step to stop these accidents as the result due to unchecked over loading in the vehicles the road accidents had failed to control, due to which large number of innocent people had lost their lives in these accidents. During the protest, two minute silence was observed in the memory of departed souls, more over the leaders of the organization had further demand to provide 3 lakh rupees as compensation to the person, killed in the accident, while free of cost treatment to the injured persons was sought by the Sena leaders. The Sena leaders also urged upon the state government to provide every service to treat the injured persons. Among others participated in the protest were Shiv Kumar, Vikas Dewan, Praveen Gupta, Rajeshwar Singh, Rajesh Handa and Kamal Kishore. |
