| Extension Lectureorganized in GDC Poonch | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Feb 12:Dr Bashir Ahmad Mir, an Associate Professor of Geography in Govt. S.P. College Srinagar delivered an extension lecture in Govt. Degree College Poonch.
The extension lecture was arranged by the Department of Geography.
It was for the first time that an expert for lecture has been invited from Kashmir Division to present an extensive talk on the chosen subject in this hilly and far-off area.
Dr Mir shared his rich experiences and knowledge with the student participants and attempted to boost their morale. He expressed an optimistic view about the prospects of development of the region.
He appreciated the potential he observed in the student community in particular while interacting with them and stressed upon the need to harness the immense resource potential which the area is blessed with for the upliftment and welfare of the masses and pointed out that the academicians and the students can contribute immensely in this direction. Earlier, Prof Khadam Hussain , HOD Geography , introduced the guest speaker and highlighted his outstanding contributions in the field of Geography. |
