JKTWA hails Peerzada's tenure as Edu Minister | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Feb 12: A delegation of the J&K Teachers Welfare Association (JKTWA) led by its Chairman, Mohinder Sharma alongwith its State President Jasmeet Singh today called on former Education Minister Peerzada Mohd Sayeed at his official residence and hailed the decision of the Congress President Sonia Gandhi to retain him in the council of ministers of Omar Abdullah led coalition government. On the occasion, the State President of the Teachers Association, Jasmeet Singh said the senior Congress minister has always worked laboriously to address the grievances of the teachers' community and always stood behind them in times of need. Mohinder Sharma, Chairman, TWA also counted numerous achievements of the education department particularly regularization process initiated during the tenure of Peerzada Mohd Sayeed and urged the state Chief Minister Omar Abdullah to review his decision of divesting the portfolio of Education from Peerzada Mohd Sayeed. |
