Soz defends Omar, says CM capable of rectifying 'things' | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Feb 12: Conveying a message of all is well with the J&K coalition government , J&K Pradesh Committee President Prof Saif-u-Din -Soz today said the Chief Minister Omar Abdullah will 'rectify' all the problems and faults wherever found within his government and being its head it was his discretion how to settle the matters. In a message that conveys a strong political message of leadership having 'faith' and support for Omar, the Congress stalwart said Chief Minister is capable of handling the things and it was for him how problems could be rectified. A day after speculations remained rife about 'uncertainty' within J&K coalition, even as it was a quiet scene on the political front, both the alliance partners NC as well as Congress appeared in reconciliatory mood, with J&K PCC chief himself defending the Chief Minister Omar Abdullah and the manner he handled Peerzada case. On the sidelines of the party rally at Marh, Soz refused to speak on the recent developments. Albeit, in a brief sentence , replying to just one query he played down the controversy of examgate followed by Education Minister Peerzada Mohammad Sayeed's resignation forwarded to Congress Command. Without naming anyone or the scam in which Congress minister's son has been found having adopted unfair means in passing his calss 10th examination, state Congress chief today said the state government is capable of "rectifying wherever anything has gone wrong". The seasoned politician , apparently in a tone to calm down the political unrest and dismiss the speculations said the government has to run 'smoothly and fairly'. Therefore there was need to run the system in any given situation smoothly. " In this situation, wherever things have gone wrong, Chief Minister will rectify it……. He will take care of the institution," State Congress asserted on an optimistic note, adding that "Omar has taken cognizance of the matter and is aware of all aspects of the matter". Wherever there are procedural faults etc--he will rectify them." "He will take care of the education department . It is for him to see where things have gone wrong and he would take steps to correct it," Soz said. However, while addressing the rally attended to by senior leaders of the party including ministers and PCC functionaries, Soz termed Congress a party of all entire state where it had strong and big stakes in all the three regions, therefore calling for broadening the base in every region. He underlined the need for strengthening the party at all levels so that it could emerge victorious and much stronger than during the previous polls. The underlining political message of the PCC chief at rally was to help Congress emerge a strong political force . |
