| Formulation of National Pay Policy demanded | | |  early times report
JAMMU, Feb 12: National Mazdoor Conference stressed to formulate National Pay Policy through out the country on the Pay Commission, setup by the Government.
Addressing the NMC activists, Subash Shastri, president of the conference urged the Prime Minister to frame a national level policy in future, of the said Commission so that the employees working in the Central and the State Governments do not suffer and the recommendations are implemented simultaneously.
Shastri further said that a delegation of NMC led by noted trade unionists of various trade unions of the State will meet Prime Minister, Finance Minister and Deputy Chairman of the Planning Commission on August 27 seeking special package of Rs 5,000 crore for payment of arrears of Sixth Pay Commission.
Highlighting the demands, Shastri demanded release of 7 per cent DA due to the employees from July last at the earliest, release of salaries of motivators working in the IWDP Akhnoor, issuance of regularization order of 180 daily wagers in Rural Development Department, besi-des many other demands. |
