| Safai Karamcharis protest in support of demands | | | EARLY TIMES report
Kathua, Feb 13: Safai Karam-chari Union Urban Local Body unit Kathua has staged protest dharna against the state Govt for adopting callous attitude towards the long pending genuine demands including regularization of casual workers.
Led by president of union Sawan Cheeda , the protestor demanded their demands to fill the vacant posts and to implement the decision to provide the two and half days salary of the Safai Karam-chari. The president of union threatened to suspended work under falling under entire council if the demands are not met before the 16th of Feb. The union also resented over the council administration for promoting the illegal employment process through backdoor entries in order to appease their political and bureaucratic masters and hammered the poor casual and consolidated employees who have been working in the council since long.
Speakers alleged that EOs of all Municipal councils and municipal committees have not disclosed list of those who had been appointed as consolidated employees in respective councils and committees. |
