Jammu, Feb 13: Citizens' Forum has welcomed the installation and pending unveiling of the statue of Maharaja Hari Singh, the last Dogra ruler of J&K State, at Jammu. A large number of prominent senior citizens of Jammu, who held a meeting here today in a statement said that raising suitable memorial to the valiant and patriotic last Dogra ruler was long over due and there were persistent demands from the people of Jammu from various walks of life for bestowing the honour deserving Maharaja Hari Singh, who administered justice to all sections of people and also brought several social reforms, much ahead of his times. |
