Rains spoil sport

JAMMU, Feb 13: Due to unprecedented rains, the scheduled matches of the ongoing 3rd Sher-e-Kashmir Gold Cup Football Tournament could not take place at GGM Science College ground, here today.
"Because of overnight rains that resulted into a wet field, we could not follow the laid down fixture of the tournament. So, we are doubtful about tomorrow's fixture also. Let the Sun shine and ground dry up, the matches will be rescheduled accordingly," organizing secretary of the tournament, Surinder Singh Bunty told.
UDHAMPUR: Meanwhile, scheduled matches for today in the ongoing Jammu Premier League Tawi Cup could not be conducted due to rains at Subash Stadium, Udhampur. Considering the condition of the ground, the organizers are doubtful to hold the competition tomorrow also.
