SKEWPY helps to resolve un-employment : Jan
Skill Development Training and awareness is need of hour- D.D.C

Poonch, Feb 13 : A 2 week long awareness cum skill development and training work shop regarding implementation of Sher-e-Kashmir Employment Welfare Policy for Youth(SKEWPY) was organized by J&K Entrepreneurship Dev. Institute (EDI) at Dak Banglow Poonch, here today.
M.L.A. Haveli Ajaz Ahmed Jan who inaugurated the work shop participated as Chief Guest, whereas Distt. Dev. Commissioner Ajeet Kumar Sahu Presided over the function.
S.S.P Ashkoor Ahmed Wani, ADDC Syed Anwer Hussain Shah, Advocates, Senior Citizens, Sarpanchs & Educated un-Employed Youths attended.
SKEWPY is the most suitable self employment scheme for educated candidates of all categories chalked out in the scheme, MLA added. He said besides providing "Seed Capital Fund" a candidate is imparted necessary training to set up his income generating unit. Financial Institutions provide loan facilities hassle free basis, moreover "Project Report" of the unit is also prepared by in official of the bank policy provides that seed funds which amounts to 35% of total cost of unit is provided by Govt. through EDI which is non refundable. He further announced that he ready to provide financial assistence to candidates who dedicatedly adopt self employment scheme. MLA exhorted upon Candidates to instill spirit of self working and Sarpanchs should also share responsibility to monitor setting up to such unit on ground within their respective Panchayats.
DDC exhorted educated unemployed candidates that scheme is beneficial to resolve unemployment for which candidates have to make firm determination. Skill Dev. Is the need of the time and EDI helps in imparting necessary training to the entrepreneurs. Dedication is required to venture any business. He posed a question to audience that why for vegetable, fruits, mutton automobile workshop etc communities people of poonch are dependent upon others districts / states. He said to start with as many as 16 candidates of the district have been deputed to get training under various skill developments so far.
Earlier Sr. Programme Co-ordinator Mr. Majid Manzoor & Assistant Co-ordinator EDI gave a resume of objectives for conducting this workshop. Questions and answers session was also carried on, on the occasion.
