| Div Com reviews land acquisition cases under various schemes | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Feb 13 : To review the progress of land acquisition cases under PMGSY, BRO, NHAI, Roshni schemes besides progress on various development projects being executed in Jammu division, Divisional Commissioner Dr. Pawan Kotwal convened a high level meeting here today.
Deputy Commissioner Jammu Mr. Sanjeev Verma, DC Reasi Mrs. Sheetal Nanda, DC Rajouri Mr. G. A. Khawaja, DC Udhampur Mr. Pandurang K. Pole, DC Kathua Zahida Khan, Chief Engineer PMGSY Mr. D. L. Sharma, Joint Director Information Soujanya Sharma, DC Stamps Mr. Rajesh Sharma and other senior officers of various departments attended the meeting. Div Com also reviewed the progress on regularization of religious structures constructed on public places besides discussing vacation of Government buildings occupied by the security/Defence forces.
Div Com exhorted upon the Deputy Commissioners for effective implementation of PNDT Act in their respective districts. He also stressed upon the need of strict implementation of Public Services Guarantee Act (PSGA) to ensure prompt public services delivery system. He also informed the meeting that the revised stamp duty rate become operative from April, 2012.
Taking stock of progress on various roads and bridges in the division, the Divisional Commissioner directed the concerned agencies to further speed up the pace of works for the timely completion of these prestigious projects. He also directed the executing agencies to keep a strict monitoring on use of standard material in all the construction works.
Referring to issue of disbursement of drought relief, he directed the concerned officers for ensuring full disbursement to the drought affected families. Other issues discussed including identification of land for setting up Rural self employment training institutes (RSETI), Establishment of Satellite linked Automatic Weather Station (AWS), Implementation of policy relating to encroachment on public places by religious structure, land acquisition progress under various sectors, etc. |
