A meeting held by Kranti Dal leaders led by its general secretary Pritam Sharma, youth working president Jagdish Sudan and city president Rajinder Bhagat Pritam Sharma accused the union and state Govt. of step-motherly treatment with the state. Sharma said that SMS service is the medium of convey greeting & wishes to relatives, friends etc. but due to ban on prepaid SMS service, about 40,000 users of J&K state are totally disconnected from this service. It is cheap and best way to convey the message as compare to making the voice calls which is very costly. The situation in Jammu is very peaceful even in Kashmir, situation is not bad in SMS point of view. The state has been suffering from non-availability of prepaid SMS service for last two years. Jagdish Sudan said that without SMS, we feel that like prisoners, they have no option to use this service but we are living in the democracy and this is our fundamental right to use SMS service. |
