| Taj reviews supply position for ensuing Moharam days | | | Jammu | Jan 18 Arrangements to provide all the basic facilities to the people during auspicious days of Moharam-ul-Haram were reviewed at a meeting of officers of Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution here today.The Minister for Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution Mr. Taj Mohi-ud-Din presided over the meeting. The meeting was informed that sufficient quantity of essential commodities like LPG, k-oil, sugar and rice have been stocked in J&K state especially in Shia dominated areas to facilitate them during Moharam days. Mr. Taj directed the concerned authorities to ensure un-interrupted power supply, drinking water facilities, transport services and sanitation etc during these auspicious days. Minister also asked the concerned officers for repairs and renovation of all the roads where from the Moharam procession are expected to pass. He stressed upon the health department to deploy ambulances along with adequate medicines, doctors and para-medical staff. Mr. Taj asked the Director consumer Affairs and Public Distribution Kashmir to ensure that the public is not put to any inconvenience with regard to essential commodities during these days. Various officers of the Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution Department were present in the meeting. |
