| NSF demands independent Inquiry Commission to probe role of Minister, BOSE Chairman | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU , Feb 14 :National Secular Forum, while accusing Chairman BOSE Dr Sheikh Bashir Ahmed and the former Education Minister Peerzada Mohammad Sayeed for turning BOSE a hub of Corruption, has demanded thorough probe into the Exam gate scandal by setting up an independent Inquiry Commission.
Addressing media persons here today, President, NSF Vikas Sharma said that all limits of corruption have been crossed in the institution which was guardian of the rights of lakhs of students of the state.
"The Chief Minister Omar Abdullah is necessary to set up an inquiry commission to unearth all the bungling in the Board", he said.
He further said that there are hundreds of ETT colleges running in the state and the students enrolled there are maximum from other states.
He said that there is no eye on the working of these ETT colleges by JKBOSE.
He also said that most of the ETT institutes are running illegally in whole state and with a motive to plunder the money from innocent students of out of state and making the mockery of education at large scale.
He mentions that around 439 ETT Colleges were functional in the State and out of them, the highest (173) numbers of them were in district Jammu, followed by 150 in district Kathua. Even the BOSE Chairman Dr Sheikh Bashir Ahmed is indulging in corrupt practices and there are enough of evidences in support of this allegation.
Despite of that he is continuing on his chair under the patronage of former Minister himself .
Sharma said the name and reputation of the State was being ruined the way these institutions are functioning. He alleged that student mostly from outside the State were getting admitted there and they easily manage certificates.
There should be check on such practice
Vikas Sharma also said that the situation of ETT institutes in State where most of the ETT institutes has created anarchy and murdered the ethics and values of the education. These institute are running with collaboration of the JKBOSE in Shops, single room, high, and higher secondary schools and even the single staff is used to function the ETT classes.
He further added that there are several cases of irregularities pending against the name of BOSE Chairman, so to restore the faith of students and their parents the culprits should be punished.
He alleged Chairman BOSE for extending undue favour to one of his close acquaintance one and half year ago.. |
