| Yaseen directs for providing essentials during Maharram | | | Jammu|Jan 18
Minister for Transport Hakeem Muhammad Yaseen has directed the district administration Budgam for making adequate arrangements of foodgrains, sugar, K-oil, LPG, Firewood and other essential in all the areas of the district keeping in view the ensuing auspicious Maharram days.
Mr. Hakeem, while interacting to a deputation of Budgam district who called on him here today, assured the deputationists that government is bound to provide all basic facilities to the people adding that Deputy Commissioner Budgam has already been asked to gear up its men and machinery to facilitate the people in the district during Maharram days.
The Minister also directed the concerned authorities to repair link roads leading to the Imam- Bara’s and also ensure sufficient hygienic facilities and power supply in the Shia dominated areas of the district. He said adequate number of ambulances and sufficient quantity of medicines and other facilities besides Doctors and para medical staff would be made available in the district during the auspicious days of Maharram. He also directed the Forest Department to dump sufficient quantity of firewood at various places in the Shia dominated areas for distribution to the people.
Mr. Yaseen also directed the district authorties to arrange additional qouta of sugar and K -oil for the people of the district. |
