| Legislators demand new vehicles, Azad says yeh achi baat nahi hai | | | Jammu | Jan 18 Chief Minister GhulamNabi Azad on Thursday punctured high hopes of legislators by indirectly conveying them the message that new vehicles will not be provided to them in the near future.
Chief Minister made this statement in the lower house on thursday when deputy speaker in the chair Mohd Akbar Lone brought the matter in to the notice of Chief Minister that several MLA's with old model vehicles have been raising the issue of repalcing their worn out vehicles.
Silencing all the legislators in one go, Chief Minister while making a brief statement said, nowhere in the country either MP's or MLA's in other states were provided with separate vehicles by the state exchequer.He said, all those MLA's who have been raising the issue of acquiring bullet proof vehciles and seeking information from the state government should not do so considering security aspect attached to it.
Azad said, i want to make it clear to all of you that such requests should not be made public either in the house or in press conferences.Yeh achi baat nahi hai, aap apni or sathion ki security ka bhi khyal rakehin, he said before taking his seat.
