Acute staff deficiency in ARTO Rajouri | | | Early Times Report
Rajouri, Feb 15:Assistant Regional Transport Office (ARTO) of Rajouri is suffering from an acute shortage of staff of various sections resulting to the a lot of problems to the visitors to the office. Sources in department revealed that the vacancies of Traffic/Vehicle Inspectors are lying vacant and make shift arrangements are being made from Jammu office as Vehicle Inspectors visit from Jammu on every Friday for monitoring of passing of vehicle. Besides this two posts of clerical staff and a post of Final Driving License Printer (FDLP) too are lying vacant resulting in slow and unsatisfactory functioning of the said office. Sources also said that due to non-presence of two vehicle inspectors in the office, there is lack of routine checking on roads by authorities of transport department. Assistant Regional Transport Officer (ARTO) Rajouri, Er Ramesh Kumar Smotra when contacted confirmed that some vacancies are lying vacant but the department is managing through its available resources. "The available human resources are being used in a manner that public in general don't suffer, he added. |
