2/15/2012 11:55:35 PM
EARLY TIMES REPORT
Kishtwar, Feb 15: Nearly two weeks after Kishtwar police and troops of 11 RR cordoned off the Renie village in Marwah Tehsil of Kishtwar District on a tip off about the presence of four HM militants including top three militant commanders involved in last year's Delhi High Court blast on September 7, the intelligence sources in Kishtwar District said that all the four militants who were trapped in Mathwan village of Renie has been seen in Dachhan area few days ago. The intelligence reports said that all the four HM militants Amir Kamal@Akram, Shakir Hussain@Chota Hafiz, Sajjad Ahmed@ Rizwan and Mohammad Shafi managed to give dodge to the security forces and took refuge in a more safer hideout in Dachhan away from the under cordon village. According to a senior police officer in Kishtwar, they too have received the input from few intelligence agencies that all the four militants who are believed to be trapped in security forces cordon was last seen somewhere around Dachhan a week ago.
"Our forces have blocked all entry and exit points leading to village Mathwan where the four HM militant are presently hiding and due to presence of 6-8 feet snow in the area, there is less possibility that any of them will sneak through," said senior police officer. He said that despite the intelligence input the security forces will not lift the siege around the said village. "It is snowing heavily in the area since last one week and we are waiting for improvement in weather condition before our security forces come closer to the village for final operation," said the senior police officer. The police officer said that the security forces who were camping in the area since last two months will be shifted only once they get solid confirmation about the latest inputs. "Our forces will not let anything lose till we get solid confirmation about the latest inputs given by the intelligence agencies," said the senior police officer. He said that despite hostile weather condition with night temperature ranging from minus 10 degree to minus 15 degree, the morale of the security forces is high and said that he is hopeful that security forces will achieve success in either elimination or apprehension of all the militants involved in Delhi High Court blast. He said that to avoid any collateral damage, security forces are waiting for appropriate occasion for launching all out attack against the militants hiding in the area.It is worthwhile to mention that a team of Special Striking Reserve (SSR) Kishtwar led by Sub Inspector Shiv Krishan Sharma is presently camping outside Mathwan village since last over a month to keep close eye on the movements of the HM militants involved in Delhi High Court blast, but due to hostile weather conditions and lack of communication network, the said operation against the militants has been hampered badly.
