Early Times Report

Kathua, 15 Feb: - The Progressive Students Association (PSA) unit district Kathua has held a protest demonstration on college road in the front of GDC College Kathua against undemocratic tendencies and atrocity adopted by the management and principal Sunita Soodhan of Govt. Deg. College R.S. Pura.
The protest was led by the student leader of PSA Dheeraj, Kulbir, Arun, Ziny, Surinder and Ankit who also burnt the effigy of principal and staff of the GDC R.S Pura in order to get the justice and democratic right which are deliberately snubbed and outrageously hammered by the GDC administration R.S Pura.
While speaking on the occasion PSA leaders said that the two final years students of GDC R.S. Pura and activist of PSA Rahul and Deepak had arranged and organized a "Wall Magazine" in the premises of the college which is the democratic and constitutional right of every students and man of the country.
Meanwhile an eccentric professor abruptly came on spot and picked the "wall Magazine" and tore it into peaces. On objection of the organizing students and activists of PSA Rahul and Deepak were treated badly by the entire staff and administration on the direction of principal of the college and by calling the police both the students were arrested illegally.
In support of students Rahul and Deepak the PSA state committee approached the police and brought these two safely back to home and when next day these two students went to enter the college where their entry was found to be banned through a notification from the principal of GDC R.S Pura and in which clearly written these both students Rahul and Deepak were suspended and not be allowed to get entry into the college premises until their parents come to the principal.
While these two illegally expelled students have compelled the principal and asked on what ground they have been expelled, in this context the principal is adamant to permit the entry of these two students. The entire whole undemocratic and anarchist atmosphere of the college and callous anti-democratic approach of the principal and its staff has been exposed.
