| Valley residents allege poor mobile services | | | SALMAN NIZAMI JAMMU | JAN 18 Subscribers of cellone and excel mobile services offered by the Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) in Srinagar, Bigbehara, Sangam, have claimed that the service being provided is much below par, the tower setup in Bijbehara has turned dysfunctional even if just a month has passed since its installed. Sangam Sethar located 36 kilometers from the Srinagar city his between Awantipora and Santhan and is roughly five kilometers away from sethar. Poor signals create problems for the subscribers and they are not able to avail the facility in a proper manner. The BSNL tower in Sethar Sangam is said to cater to many villages in the twin districts of Anantnag and Pulwama subscribers in these areas claim that they face lot connectivity and network problems. Besides proper signals are not available round the clock, they added “we receive signals just for few hours a day hardly 3-4 hours. Service here is so bad that you get fed up with it we are not provide the service we pay for,” Commented Parveez Ahmed, a mobile subscriber. FSO bad is their condition that you can hardly talk on mobile Phone due to talk of Proper connectivity. You can hardly make out what is said on the other side of the line “Complained the wary subscriber lack of problem which the locals raise. “ No one has been properly assigned the job to look after the maintenance and functioning of the tower even if it is under the control of Telephone exchange located at these areas, the problems arise and the person who has been assigned the task receives a weager amount of Rs. 1500 per month” said Hafeez Ahmed of Srinagar.
