ACCF hails govt decision to sack tainted employees | | | early times report JAMMU, Feb 15 : Anti Corruption Commando Force (ACCF) Chairman Ashok Sharma and its Vice-Chairman Ram Lal, while welcoming the decision of J&K Government headed by Omar Abdullah for prematurely retiring tainted government employees said that big fishes are to be caught to launch campaign against corruption and for good governance. They said that the media is playing its role to expose such people, who are acting as enemies of good governance and common man as well, we need to appreciate such section of print and electronic media for their performance as fourth pillar of democracy on ground. Corruption is eating the vitals of the society and those at the helm of affairs failed to provide the actual benefit to the needy and beneficiary of the central sponsored schemes like NREGA, PDS, Drinking Water, Electricity, Mid-Day-Meal and so on, Sharma and Lal added. They further urged upon the Chief Minister Omar Abdullah and the Chief Secretary Madhav Lal to open up the old closed track record files of those involved in dwindling away the public money and properties and take steps to implement the unique law of confiscating the ill-gotten properties enacted by making amendments in Prevention of Corruption Act during Azad government, at all levels to ensure good governance. |
