IRCS organises Adolescence Health awareness camp | | | early times report KATHUA, Feb 15: With an aim to create health awareness among the students, the Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS), Kathua organized an Adolescence Health Awareness and Medical Check up camp at Government Girls Higher Secondary School here today. DDC Kathua Zahida Parveen Khan was the Chief Guest on the occasion. Vice Principal Jatinder Sethi presented welcome address. In her address DDC Kathua Zahida Parveen Khan who is also Chairperson of the society said that one of its main focuses is to educate and create awareness among adolescent children about personal health. She emphasized that apart from education of the students, teaching staff members of every institution should also ensure that their pupils pursue academic excellence free from health complications. Executive Secretary, Kathua SD Singh threw light on the activities of the Red Cross Society. Singh also stressed upon the students to take every possible precaution to avoid ill effects of contaminated water as the ground water of the district is prone to water born diseases. A counselling session by Meena Kumari of District Hospital, Kathua was also held during the camp. |
