Unemployment on rise due to failed govt policies: BJP
2/15/2012 11:59:47 PM
early times report
JAMMU, Feb 15 : While Jammu Kashmir has achieved the dubious distinction of being the second most corrupt state in the country, it has also taken lead in registering the number of unemployed youth. This was stated by BJP State President Shamsher Singh Manhas while addressing a massive "Karyakarta Sammelan" held at Khour bazaar in tehsil Akhnoor. Shamsher Singh Manhas said that on one hand scam after scam is getting unearthed with each passing day, the number of educated unemployed youth is going up every year. He said the government is using its full energy in shielding the corrupt ministers and bureaucrats but has no time to think about the future of the unemployed youth.

It is due to lack of job avenues in private sector and the anti-youth approach of the state's coalition government that more than 25000 youth are leaving the state every year for employment in other parts of the country.
The recent employment policy announced by the government too is responsible for the migration of educated youth. Manhas also took the local administration to task for working on the dictates of Deputy Chief Minister and the local MLAs. He said that such interference is not tolerable and warned the administration to work impartially to ensure that each and every area gets equal treatment in all matters and at all levels. State General Secretary Sat Sharma said that the present NC-Congress coalition has miserably failed to come up to the expectations of the people as the ministers in the government are busy in minting money without caring for the welfare of masses. The "Karyakatra Sammelan" was organised under the leadership of Mandal President Suraj Singh, who highlighted a number of local problems and urged the party leadership to take up the same with the concerned departments for their early solution.
