Jammu, Feb 15: Though the Divisional Traffic Manager Northern Railway's Jammu Divison, RS Meena claimed for the up-gradation and modernization of Jammu Tawi Railway Station but the employees of railway have something else to say as resentment is brewing up due to the alleged nexus between DTM Jammu office and GRP Cops.
Leveling allegations they said that DTM Office has its hand in glove with the two influential GRP constables who always are found moving freely in and around the DTM Office. Both allegedly enjoy police, politicians and DTM Jammu's pat and despite numerous complaints lodged to the senior police officers and railways officials against their alleged activities interfering the railway's functioning, they still got their position intact for the last about six years.
Aggrieved employees of railways on the condition of anonymity said that both the cops are instrumental got the waiting tickets confirmed from DTM office. They also said that while they have to defend themselves when the long queue of people inquires about their movement in the restricted areas of Computerized Railway Counters.
"Book yours ticket from ticket counter, no matter what waiting number you get, just contact the duo of GRP cops who turn impossible into possible just after charged some money as per their convenience and at time it can be bargained.
After getting due share the same money is later distributed with the DTM office. In the chart displayed at 5 pm , see yours name on confirmed ticket.
Employees further alleged that many a times there witnessed scuffle between DTM Jammu and those aggrieved who despite of having RAC (Reservation After Cancellation) tickets did get confirmation.
Meanwhile, sources at GRP revealed that on of the duo is undergoing training in PTA Udhampur, made his presence in DTM office to get the railway tickets confirmed during his training tenure. |
