| BJP threatens agitation over withdrawal of police post in Dachhan | | | Early Times Report
Kishtwar Feb 16: Senior BJP leader and President Dachhan Ravi Kumar has threatened to launch an agitation over the withdrawal of police post from Kiyar and Loppara villages of Dachhan in Kishtwar District.
Ravi said that the move of shifting the police posts is to appease a certain political group and said that in case the police fail to revert its order, the people of Dachhan will launch an agitation against the government. He said that the people of the area have played an important role in eradication of militancy from the area.
He said that withdrawal of police post from the area is unjustified and said that militants are very much present in the area as a result of which there is constant threat to the people living in the area. Ravi accused senior police officers of harassing the VDC and DDC members by shifting them from present palace of posting to far off places. He said that the aim and object of constituting VDC and DDC's is to give protection to the local populace from the militants, but said that by shifting them to other place, the people of Dachhan becomes vulnerable to security threat. |
