Div Com reviews developmental works enroute Shiv Khori Shrine | | | Early Times Report UDHAMPUR, Feb 16: The Divisional Commissioner, Jammu, Dr. Pawan Kotal who is also chairman of Shri Shiv Khori Cave Shrine Board (SSKCSB) has assessed the pace of development works on the spot already taken in hand from Ransoo the base camp of Shri Shiv Khori Shrine Cave today. MLA Reasi, Baldev Raj Sharma, DDC, Reasi, Sheetal, Director Tourism, R.S. Metha, SSP, Atul Goel, Assistant Commissioner, Revenue (Executive Officer of the SSKCSB) S.S. Sambyal, Deputy Chief Executive Officer Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board, Rachpal Singh, Board members namely S.M Sahni, Swami Raj Sharma and M.L. Sharma, other senior officers of Divisional and District levels were present in the meeting. The Divisional Commissioner stressed for developing Ransoo area at eco- friendly basis to give it green cover. He also issued instructions to create two posts of Pharmacist by the Shri Shiv Khori Cave Shrine Board for strengthening the medicare facility to the visiting pilgrims and early completion of PHC building at Ransoo. He also asked the Executive Engineer, PWD to install big sign board at Kanda and Tehsildar Suderbani to demarcate state or forest land at Kanda for which boundary pillars could be supplied by the SSKCSB. He also suggested for plantation of herbal plants in and around the track area as well as the Ransoo and proper drainage system in local bazaar. The Div. Com said that while constructing Rope way project, a provision of children park should also be kept in mind for the entertainment of the visiting pilgrims. He further said that the Ghrats enroute to sacred cave should be developed on the pattern of modern water mills which could attract pilgrims and asked the concerned departments to speed up their effort so that the completion of the same be made as early as possible. Later, in ameeting of officers the Div. Com. finalized the arrangements for the smooth conduct of 3-day Shri Shiv Khori festival commencing on 19 to 21 February 2012 at Ransoo. MLA Reasi, Baldev Raj Sharma announced a ambulance from his Constituency Development Fund (CDF) for Ransoo to the facility of visiting devotees and for the people of adjoining areas. During the meeting the DDC, Reasi apprised the Div. Com that during the last year 14.32 lakhs pilgrims from across the country visited the Holy Cave Shrine whereas during the corresponding year 10.82 pilgrims had paid obeisance. Presently 4000 to 5000 pilgrims visiting daily to get the blessings of the holy cave Shrine, the DDC added. |
