| Coalition government failed on all fronts: G M Jan | | | SANDEEP BHAT JAMMU | JAN 18 MLA, Poonch, of National conference (NC) G.M Jan, while coming out from the corridors of legislative assembly i8n an interaction with ‘Early Times’, correspondent said NC is the only party in the state having secular credentials since national Conference came into existence under the dynamic leadership of Sher-e-kashmir, Sheikh Mohammed Abdullah. People of all faiths and regions of the state have representation in the party. E.T: Are you happy being in the opposition? Jan: Yes, people of the state have given their verdict to my party (NC) to sit in opposition and highlighted the problems and difficulties being faced by them. It is te only party which speaks about the aspirations of the people of all the three regions. E.T: Will NC come back to power? Jan: Beyond, any doubt Next elections will be turning point for the state. Pople of the state will vote enmasse for NC Candidates. People of the state want change as they are fed up with present coalition Govt. which has failed miserably in redressing the grievances of the people. E.T: Is congress led coalition Govt. going to complete its full term? Jan: Well, its for them (Cong. And PDP ) to complete full term. Some differences arise between both the paterns in some issues. Being in opposition I will do my duty, beside my party is ready for elections. E.T: Are people of your constituency happy with your working? Jan: People of my constituency are fully aware about the development. They are very co-operative and are fully aware about what NC has done for them. My doors are always open for them for any help etc. there is resentment among the people of Poonch about the poor services of BSNL both local as well as Mobile. E.T.: How you say that Coalition government has failed on all fronts. Comment ? Jan: The day this government has took the reins in the year 2002 all the promises made by this government turned false. The shortage of electricity both in urban as well as rural areas. Government claimed that they will provide 24 hours supply of power after installing electronic meters but these turned into hollow slogans. The prices of essential commodities have gone high and unemployment is also rising. People of the state want change.
