| PWD's turns 'link road Samba' into a bumpy road | | | Early Times Report
Samba, Feb 17: Residents of the area blame the nexus of contractor and PWD deptt has turned Link Road Samba to a deserted and totally depleted condition.
The locals of the area alleged that despite repeated pleas for effecting improvements and repairs on this vital road linking main bazaar nothing ye has been done in this regard. "The bad condition of road shows the honesty of contractor and PWD officers, one local quipped. Worth to mention that the said road stretch was constructed, Chief Minister was expected to lay Foundation Stone of Polytechnic College at Samba last year.
Locals lamented but the road stretch within days developed pot holes due to use of the sub-standard material used by the contractor.
District administration has done nothing against the alleged contractor and the PWD officers that also showed their head offs towards the political persons who also involved in that work have their share in it. |
