Fisheries Deptt. sets up trout sale counters on Shivratri | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Feb 17: The Department of Fisheries has made elaborate arrangements for the sale of trout fish on the eve of Maha Shivratri festival being observed on Monday. On the directions of the Minister of State for Fisheries, Mr. Ajaz Ahmad Khan, sales outlets have been established in all the major localities inhabited by the members of Pandit community in Jammu, Kashmir and elsewhere. Apart from Jammu, trout sale counters have been set up in major towns of the Valley, sale of trout has also been conducted at Migrant Colony, Sheikhpora Budgam for the convenience of Pandit community presently residing there. So far about 170 kgs of trout were sold at Budgam whileas arrangements have also been made for sale of trout at Beehama Chowk and Tullamulla (Khir Bhawani Chowk) on February 18 & 19, 2012. The Department has also appealed people to stick to the prescribed rate list while making purchases and not encourage black marketing. |
