| Four bovine smugglers arrested | | |
JAMMU JULY-31-Police today arrested four bovine smugglers and seized 12 bovine being carried in two vehicles. According to reports a police party from Ramban led by SHO Mohammed Aziz Khan on a specific information laid a naka and spotted two vehicles NO JK02 AA and JK 14A/3408 loaded with 12 bovines and arrested four persons on the spot. Those arrested included Ghulam Ali son of Noor Hussain of Batote, Hassan Mir son of Abdul Gani of Ramban, Insar Ahmed son of Ghulam Rasool of Ramban and Mohammed Suliman of Batote. Police has registered a case. The reports said that the bovine were being smuggled to Srinagar.In the meantime Jammu Police today arrested five persons including an Assistant Director of Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution (CAPD) for allegedly indulging in black marketing of Kerosene oil . The reports said that Pacca Danga police on the directions of SSP Jammu arrested five persons for black marketing kerosene oil in the city. The arrested persons were earlier booked by the Satwari Police some days back on similar charges and were later bailed out by the Court. Those arrested today included Bal Krishen Sharma, Assistant Director CAPD , Rattan Cher President Kerosene oil Dealers’s Association, Keshew Sahawney , Sunil Kumar and Virji Bhat. Police has registered a case against all the accused.
