| Gurmukh Singh Raina passes away | | | Srinagar|Jan 18
Eighty Seven (87) year old freedom fighter and famous
Kashmir transporter Sardar Gurmukh Singh Raina passed away after a prolonged
illness in Srinagar on Thursday.
He was survived by his wife Narinder Kaur, three sons Narinder Singh Raina Director
Doordarshan ,Patna,Jagmohan Singh Raina Editor-In-Chief Kashmir Media India and
owner of Kashmir Gas Agency,Srinagar and Satinder Singh Raina,Agriculture officer
and one daughter.
Mr Raina migrated in 1947 from Pakistan Occupied Kashmir in Muzaffarabad and
setlled in Kashmir.He established his transport company and laboured hard to attain
high standards in life.He devoted quality time to social service and worked for the
upliftment of poor in the society.
The last rites of Sardar Gurmukh Singh Raina will be performed at 3.00 P.M at
Karan Nagar in Srinagar.
