SSH protests over continuous discrimination | | | EARLY TIMES report Jammu, Feb 17: Against the continuous discrimination with the Jammu region, a protest demonstration was organized by the leaders of Shiv Sena Hindustan (SSH), here today. The protest was lead by president, SSH, Rajesh Kesri in which large number of party activists participated. Speaking on the occasion, Kesri alleged that despite the presence of large number of lakes in the Jammu region, the state as well as the centre government is spending crores of rupees in a few lakes in Kashmir. As only in the name of Dal Lake the state government had misused Rs 1000 cr where as for the lakes of Jammu region government had nothing to spend. Moreover, after the visit by over one crore tourists in Jammu region the government had failed to develop none of the tourist spot in this region, but government is still determined to develop only tourist spots in the Kashmir region. The activists had warned the state government to stop discrimination with the Jammu region and asked the government to develop lakes in Jammu region including the Mansar and Surinsar lakes which are the only tourist spots in Jammu region. So that the more and more tourist must use to visit the Jammu region and a support must be provided to much needed ailing tourist industry in this region. Kesri further urged upon the leaders of Jammu region to raise their voice against the continuous discrimination, other wise they will be forced to come on roads to stop this discrimination with the Jammu region. Among other participated in the protest were Rajan Gupta, Shiv Kumar, Vikas Dewan, Parveen Gupta, Ashok Kumar, Sumeshwar Singh, Rajesh Handa, Kamal Kishore, Vikas Kapoor, Varun Sharma, Rajeshwar Singh Langeh and Karan Singh. |
