| Jahangir Mir gets Bharat Jyoti Award | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Feb 17: Senior Congress leader and MLC Jahangir Mir has been conferred upon Bharat Joyti Award by the Indian International Friendship Society. The Award was given away to him by the former governors of Tamil Nadu and Jharkhand at a function organized by the society in New Delhi. The Award was given to Jehangir Mir in recognition to his outstanding role in the fields of National Integration and communal harmony.
A seminar entitled communal harmony and national Development was also organised on the occasion which was addressed by several intellectuals, social activists and former bureaucrats. While speaking on the occasion Jehangir Mir said Unity and Integrity of every nation was a prerequisite for the economic development of a country. The congress leader said communal forces were the largest threat for the communal harmony and national security of India. |
