| Handloom deptt organises awareness camp | | | RAJOURI, Feb 17: State Handloom department today organised its first ever awareness camp for entrepreneurs in the border district of Rajouri. The awareness camp was organised in Dak bungalow here in which Deputy Directorate of Handloom department and district officers of department attended it while a large number of entrepreneurs and locals also took part in it.
During the camp department officials threw light on various government sponsored schemes which are being run for the benefit of people associated with department who are or want to work with micro scale self employment centres and to develop means of income. They were also made aware about credit guarantee scheme and marketing assistance being provided to them by government. Deputy Director of the department who took part in the camp as chief guest was surprised when she came to know that this was the first ever awareness camp held by the department here in the district. When contacted, Deputy Director said that such awareness camps are quite important for ground implementation of government schemes. She also assured that department will work positively and will arrange more such camps in the near future. |
