NDX manch stage urdu play ‘Nawaab Sahib’ | Laugh Out Loud | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Feb 17: Nav Durga Kala Manch today staged another comical comedy play "Nawaab Sahab" in the ongoing Comedy Drama Festival held at Performing Art Studio, Jammu. The play was directed by Aaditya Bhanu. The play portrayed the follies of the Nawab culture that ended before the partition of the sub-continent. The drama focuses on the wasteful extravagance of the Nawabs of India and focuses on the follies of a Nawab, whose property and wealth is spent on acts of amusements and adultery. One of the Nawab's servants, "Shiekhu" using the Nawab's negligence to his benefit, buys all the Nawab's property, piece by piece at throwaway rates. In the end, the servant with all this wealth takes the Nawab's status while the Nawab, who has lost all his wealth, becomes the servant Today's play was NDKM's first attempt of performing Urdu play which was beautifully written by Dilshad Shazi. Earlier Shazi has written many beautiful scripts like Chhalava, Mukhbir, Dil se Dosti, etc and now came up with another script "Nawaab Sahab". The audience appreciated the efforts of young theater doers of NDKM. The artists who gave scintillating performances are Dilshad Shazi as Nawaab Sahab, Tarun Sharma as Sheikhu, Kamaljeet Singh as Guest, Komal Parihar as Nawaab's Wife.Music was given by Atul Sharma while lights were executed by Kannav Chopra. Shodhya Sharma Did the presentation. Tomorrow, Paying Guest would be performed by Nav Durga Kala Manch at Performing Art Studio, Jammu. |
